I saw some skull flowers in another painting and figured I draw my own skull garden.

Create Your Own Font
There's a new font maker on the web and you can easily upload your handwriting and it will turn it into your fonts with nothing to download! You will need a printer and a scanner though. There is a PDF file that you have to print, fill it in with your handwriting then scan it to this site: HERE.
Then you can download it to your pc. It will work on both MAC and PC computers. I can't wait to try this.

Working with Brushes
My third lesson in Fire Island was to find and install brushes. I had a little trouble finding some brushes that would install easily. Everyone seems to use Photoshop brushes and I don't know how to convert them yet. I didn't want to waste my time learning that yet, but I did find some that would work. I made the background into a gradient, added some shadow to the tube, made a kaleidoscope frame and added my corner brushes and font. I think I like the frame the best.

Out of frame Tag
My next lesson in Fire Island is to create and out of frame tag. I thought I was gonna have some trouble finding tubes and accents, but I stumbled upon a folder full of 50s tubes that I had stored away.

On To Fire Island
My next set of lessons from PSP-Paradise is listed under their Fire Island Bungalow. The first set of tags I must create is just a simple tag. I chose a skate boarding duck. I added a couple of frames with inner bevel and my signature and watermark.

Final Tag of The Welcome Cruise
One of the final tags I did for PSP Paradise was with this tube of a chicken chef. I added a 2 color gradient background, a drop shadow, my signature and my watermark.

Misted Tube
On my 10th lesson in PSP Paradise. I learned how to mist a tube. That's creating that hazy glow around a graphic. Not only did I create that glow but I was able to make the top half and bottom half 2 different colors...wow! See how the water blends into the bottom mist and the sky into the top?

Sugar and Spice

The original can be found: HERE
This is my first restoration piece. I'm not happy about the skin color or eyes, but I'll have to practice some more. I found this lovely tutorial here:
Itkupilli also has free backgrounds and other accessories available.

Improving This Blog
I made a new blinkie for this site. You can easily grab the html code on the left side bar.
I also made custom titles for the side bars. It took me awhile to remember how to make transparent images.
I've also installed a chat box in case you want to leave me any nice messages :)

New Header
I've been playing around trying to make a new layout for this site, but all I could come up with for now is a new header.
I hope to be adding more gadgets and info to make this blog more enjoyable :D

Using Text Tool
I really love this font. Its called, Jellyka-Love and Passion. Her website can be found here: http://www.cuttyfruty.com/
I've only done a few lessons in PSP-Paradise and I've learned a few things that I never knew after all these years. I highly recommend them :)

Fun With Text
In PSP-Paradise, one of my first lessons was learning to use the text tool and flood fill the text with color and also add a gradient and pattern.

This is a picture of an art piece. I used the heat map filter to achieve this effect.

Grackle Kaleidoscope
This was fun. I got a picture of a grackle and put a frame around the picture then colorized the bird and turned it into a kaleidoscope.

Eye Candy 4000
I installed eye candy 4000, which is a filter with many neato effects that I can apply to my graphics. One of the first effects I tried was drip. It created this melting effect.

Another Arithmetic Project
This is my second time using the arithmetic technique. Seems like I need to re-do it, I don't like the shading towards the bottom.

Arithmetic
I used two different images and merged them together. This was easier than it looks. I'll be using this more often.

Colorize
This rose use to be dark purple. I used the hue selector to colorize it to this pretty dark red shade.

Photo Frames
Here I made 3 different photos fit into the photo frames. The swirlies were added as a background and the hearts were meant to dangle from the ribbon

Still Cloning
This was my 2nd attempt at cloning. I really like how the border came out.

Clone Tutorial
I got an image, added some borders with inner bevel and cloned the thicker border with scenery from the image.
This was pretty easy

Bracelet
Here I use the weaving technique to hook trinkets onto a bracelet. It would look alot better animated.

Weaving
Now I get into weaving letters in and out of objects. Here I used a sword.

My Layer Creation
Here I followed the last tutorial and came up with my own creation
Posted by Veronica at 7:01 PM 0 comments
Adding layers
I had to try this one a few times before I got it right. This piece consisted of layers, adding a gradient to the background, lots of inner bevels and a few borders

Working with Layers
Today in PSP_Party, I learned how to use layers in making a signature tag. This was really fun to do and I hope to do some more soon.

Text on a Path
This was a little harder because my hand wasn't too steady in following the curved line, therefore, the text came out a little crooked.

Text on a Curve
Here I had to use my name in a curved pattern. Then I just added a tube and a my watermark

Adding Text to Signature Tag
This time I was given a tag and I just had to put whatever text in the space provided. So, I used my name in a cute font.

Photo Manipulation
I haven't been on worth100.com in such a long time. I recently went back and wondered why I stayed away for so long? The work that artists submit there is excellent and funny. I made my own little monster creation to enter into one of their contests. I hope to improve my skills the more I enter.

misting with watermark
Here, I'm trying my hand at misting. Its a little colored glow around the image. I included my watermark with this creation.
I thought the baby duck was so cute, I also made a psp tube from it.

framed art
On to the next lesson. I had to use a image and put a frame around the picture.

tube with background
My next lesson is adding a tube to a background. A tube is a graphic or image on a transparent background, saved in PSP format.
They're very easy to work with because there is no background that you have to deal with and you can make them any size, bigger or smaller without losing the quality of the picture.
