Create Your Own Font

There's a new font maker on the web and you can easily upload your handwriting and it will turn it into your fonts with nothing to download! You will need a printer and a scanner though. There is a PDF file that you have to print, fill it in with your handwriting then scan it to this site: HERE.

Then you can download it to your pc. It will work on both MAC and PC computers. I can't wait to try this.

Working with Brushes

My third lesson in Fire Island was to find and install brushes. I had a little trouble finding some brushes that would install easily. Everyone seems to use Photoshop brushes and I don't know how to convert them yet. I didn't want to waste my time learning that yet, but I did find some that would work. I made the background into a gradient, added some shadow to the tube, made a kaleidoscope frame and added my corner brushes and font. I think I like the frame the best.

One of the final tags I did for PSP Paradise was with this tube of a chicken chef. I added a 2 color gradient background, a drop shadow, my signature and my watermark.

On my 10th lesson in PSP Paradise. I learned how to mist a tube. That's creating that hazy glow around a graphic. Not only did I create that glow but I was able to make the top half and bottom half 2 different colors...wow! See how the water blends into the bottom mist and the sky into the top?

I made a new blinkie for this site. You can easily grab the html code on the left side bar.

I also made custom titles for the side bars. It took me awhile to remember how to make transparent images.

I've also installed a chat box in case you want to leave me any nice messages :)

I installed eye candy 4000, which is a filter with many neato effects that I can apply to my graphics. One of the first effects I tried was drip. It created this melting effect.

This rose use to be dark purple. I used the hue selector to colorize it to this pretty dark red shade.

My next lesson is adding a tube to a background. A tube is a graphic or image on a transparent background, saved in PSP format.

They're very easy to work with because there is no background that you have to deal with and you can make them any size, bigger or smaller without losing the quality of the picture.

I've been trying to start this blog forever, but I guess I'm just lazy is what it all boils down to. My name is Veronica Sanchez, also known as notofthisworld_1973 online. I chose that name because a few years back, I happened to be browsing a Christian online store called, C28. They have lots of alternative style clothing, jewelry, accessories, etc with a Christian theme. One of their most popular logos is "not of this world." They get that from a verse in the bible (Colossians 2:8) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Basically, what that means is that we shouldn't follow the ways of human traditions and their thinking, but we should live to please Christ.
I consider myself a non-denominational Christian. I'm still working on getting baptized in the near future. Back to my bio, I'm 36 years old, I've been married to David Sanchez (aka strongerthanevil) for almost 12 years and we've been together for almost 13. We don't have any children, but would like to someday...God willing. I'm an only child and my only parent alive is my mother. Some of my hobbies include couponing, surfing the net, amateur photography, graphic designs, singing karaoke and watching movies. We don't have any pets, but I wouldn't mind raising a baby duck. This blog will contain my thoughts, rants, day to day life, opinions, silliness, pictures, etc. The only thing is that I will post sporadically or whenever the mood strikes.
